With student numbers doubling in just three years, Brighton Hill Community School's aging wireless and network switching needed replacing with a high-performance cloud-networking solution that would deliver speed and efficiency across the school.

Professional WiFi Survey delivers new optimised network design to future proof WLAN performance

Redway Networks performed a predictive WiFi survey using a map of the campus which highlighted the need for an improved switching infrastructure in order for the school to get optimum performance out of its new WLAN.

With only one network manager at the school, having different vendor solutions for WiFi and switching with no central management would make onsite network management harder, so Redway Networks recommended a Cisco Meraki cloud-networking solution to deliver a powerful, secure network with scalable, cross-platform visibility, managed seamlessly with Meraki's cloud dashboard.

Redway Networks provided a seamless installation of the school's Meraki solution including high-efficiency WiFi 6 access points, layer 2 PoE switches and endpoint systems management via the cloud dashboard with a 10-year software licence, automatic firmware and security updates, professional services and managed network support.

With the new network in place, Brighton Hill Community School will be able to support its strategy to bring more ICT into the classroom to improve student engagement and learning.
